Ecclesiastical Highlights Practical Resources to Help Organizations Strengthen Cyber Resilience

Toronto, ON (Oct. 13, 2026) – As organizations continue to navigate evolving cyber risks, Ecclesiastical Insurance is encouraging brokers and their clients to use Cyber Security Awareness Month as an opportunity to review their cyber risk management practices and strengthen their resilience.

This year’s Canadian Cyber Security Awareness Month theme, “Your best defence is you,” emphasizes the role people can play in recognizing threats, protecting information and strengthening cyber security practices. For organizations, this also reinforces the importance of building cyber awareness across teams and embedding good practices into everyday operations.

“Cyber security isn’t simply a technology issue. It’s an organizational risk that requires awareness, preparation and participation across the business,” said John Del Grande, Senior Vice President, Business Innovation at Ecclesiastical Insurance. “Brokers can play an important role in encouraging conversations about cyber risk and helping clients consider the practices they have in place to protect their people, information and operations.”

To support those conversations, Ecclesiastical offers three free resources designed to help organizations better understand and manage cyber risk:

Cyber Risk Management Specialist School™ Module

A free, interactive e-learning module that helps organizations build practical cyber risk management knowledge, covering areas including cyber threat awareness and incident response. Explore this module.

Cyber Risk Management: Security & Protection in an Online World

A whitepaper offering insights and practical guidance to help organizations understand cyber risks and consider strategies to protect their people, data and operations. Read the whitepaper.

Cyber Security: Best Practices for Charities, Non-Profits, and Small Organizations

Developed specifically for resource-conscious organizations, this whitepaper outlines practical and affordable measures across password hygiene, email and web safety, data protection, incident response and building a culture of cyber security. Read the whitepaper.

Cyber Security Awareness Month provides a timely opportunity for brokers to raise cyber risk with clients, encourage them to review existing practices and share resources that can help strengthen their approach.
