IBAC Introduces CAIB New Edition 1.0 to Modernize Insurance Broker Education
Toronto, ON (Feb. 18, 2026) – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is proud to announce the official launch of the new and improved Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program.
CAIB has been at the forefront of broker education for over 40 years. The CAIB designation is a distinguished nationally recognized credential that signifies a broker with the in-depth knowledge and expertise to serve Canadians with professionalism and integrity.
CAIB New Edition 1.0 builds on this strong reputation, elevating broker education, with new and up to date content that is relevant, practical, and aligned with the real-life situations brokers face with their clients every day.
A learner-centred approach and flexible formats give students choice in their learning experience. State-of-the-art instructional design and interactive features increase engagement and significantly improve how knowledge is retained and applied. It’s education by brokers, for brokers, that meets the needs of the modern student in the digital age.
“Today’s insurance broker is tech savvy and continuously on the go, so we’re meeting them where they are – and that’s online,” said Peter Braid, IBAC CEO. “IBAC is committed to providing excellent educational programming that will generate confident, competent brokers who are equipped to provide expert advice and support, ensuring that Canadian consumers will continue to be well served in their insurance needs.”
CAIB New Edition 1.0 is governed nationally by IBAC and delivered exclusively through IBAC’s provincial Member Associations. The course is now rolling out across the country and available in both official languages. Individuals interested in pursuing the CAIB designation are encouraged to contact their provincial broker association for information and registration.
