{"id":7766,"date":"2018-04-29T09:49:24","date_gmt":"2018-04-29T13:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lifeinsurance-orleans.ca\/Life-Insurance-Blog\/?guid=ba6aec53d5bd38b10c5ae06da053d539"},"modified":"2018-04-29T09:49:24","modified_gmt":"2018-04-29T13:49:24","slug":"port-operator-dp-worlds-name-now-on-hyperloop-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lifeinsurance-orleans.ca\/index.php\/2018\/04\/29\/port-operator-dp-worlds-name-now-on-hyperloop-company\/","title":{"rendered":"Port operator DP World\u2019s name now on hyperloop company"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DUBAI, United Arab Emirates &#8212; The Dubai-based port operator DP World is now firmly in the hyperloop business.<\/p>\n<p>DP World&#8217;s chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem made the announcement Sunday, saying Virgin Hyperloop One would launch a freight service called DP World Cargospeed.<\/p>\n<p>A hyperloop is a mode of cargo and people transportation that involves levitating pods powered by electricity and magnetism that hurtle through low-friction pipes at a top speed of 1,220 kph (760 mph).<\/p>\n<p>Bin Sulayem made the announcement on board the Queen Elizabeth 2 with billionaire Richard Branson and Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Emirates&#8217; vice-president and prime minister.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s unclear what, exactly, the branding means.
