According to the lawsuit, Roblox has become one of the most widely used online platforms for children, with tens of millions of daily users, many under the age of 13.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"79\" data-revive-topics=\"lawsuits\" data-revive-companies data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p>The lawsuit alleges that Roblox allows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e96cc291a79b6a8b3d25dfb3c93596261\">Direct contact between minors and adult predators, including through private messaging, voice chat, and user\u2011generated \u201cexperiences.\u201d<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e5a07fb5ad3b262f3a8c6300c162cf2c6\">Sexually explicit, violent, and age\u2011inappropriate content, often accessible to children as young as six.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e747e9e55af867d9a0c91a6a3e9f6b72e\">Simulated criminal activity, including graphic depictions of violence and other harmful scenarios.<\/li>\n<li data-list-item-id=\"e3273368e2de11ffec6e18bfcaabeff75\">Inadequate parental controls that are difficult to use, easy to bypass, or misleading in their effectiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The lawsuit accuses Roblox of Roblox refusing to implement safety precautions.<\/p>\n<p>Roblox said in a statement that it prohibits user-to-user image and video sharing, utilizes rigorous filters to block personal information from being shared and enforces global age-based settings that limit younger users to chatting with peers by default.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we share Attorney General Hilgers\u2019 commitment to keeping kids and teens safe online, we are disappointed that he has filed a lawsuit that fundamentally misrepresents how Roblox works,\u201d Roblox chief safety officer Matt Kaufman said.<\/p>\n<p>Roblox is facing similar lawsuits in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/midwest\/2025\/12\/18\/851631.htm\">Iowa<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/southeast\/2025\/10\/09\/843227.htm\">Kentucky<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/southcentral\/2025\/11\/10\/846896.htm\">Texas<\/a>.
