NAIC Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer Jeff Johnston will serve as interim CEO effective immediately.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"79\" data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_846245\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-846245\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Jeff-johnston-interimCEO-NAIC-scaled.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-846245\" src=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/app\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Jeff-johnston-interimCEO-NAIC-150x150.png\" alt width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-846245\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jeff Johnston<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Johnston has about 25 years of experience at Kansas City-based NAIC over two stints with the organization. His latest began in early 2012, when he returned as senior director, financial regulatory affairs after about four years away from NAIC.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson, former Massachusetts insurance commissioner, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/national\/2024\/03\/19\/765578.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">named NAIC\u2019s CEO in March 2024<\/a> and started the role when he completed his service as commissioner.
