Musk and Altman, who worked together to launch OpenAI a decade ago, have been feuding since last year in multiple legal fights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/national\/2025\/09\/15\/838936.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Meta, OpenAI Face FTC Inquiry on Chatbot Impact on Kids<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the trade secrets case, xAI claims OpenAl has hired at least eight of Musk\u2019s employees as part of an effort to steal xAI\u2019s proprietary information.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI is asking a federal judge in San Francisco to dismiss the suit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case is clearly designed to generate publicity to bully and threaten those employees who exercised their right to leave and work elsewhere in the AI industry and to try to chill further flight from xAI,\u201d according to OpenAI\u2019s lawyers.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of xAI didn\u2019t immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext-2\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"162\" data-revive-topics=\"lawsuits\" data-revive-companies data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p>The case is X.AI Corp. v.
