The insurer once again reported that \u201cthere is no evidence of ransomware and no indication of ongoing threat actor activity.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"79\" data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p>The company has not acknowledged any data breach but said it is \u201cworking diligently to identify what, if any, data may have been affected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The work to restore full system functionality for local agents, claims, and customer care teams is \u201cintentional, phased and prioritized to ensure we continue to do the right thing and put service above all else,\u201d the compay stated.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Philadelphia Insurance Companies is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phly.com\/\">continuing its efforts<\/a> to restore systems following its network outage.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia Insurance disconnected its systems to contain the threat from suspicious activity it detected on June 9. Phone, email, and online applications have been affected by the outage.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia said that \u201ccontrary to media reports, no systems were encrypted, and this was <a href=\"https:\/\/go.phly.com\/tmna-faq\">not a ransomware even<\/a>t.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The insurer said most of its core business systems have been restored. Some Philadelphia employees across the country have regained some access to key systems, including email. \u201cA full return to normal internal operations will take time, but we are working around the clock to get things back to normal for our agents and policyholders,\u201d the insurer said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext-2\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"162\" data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p>If it determines that customer data was accessed, Philadelphia said it will advise those whose information was involved.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/national\/2025\/06\/23\/828749.htm\">Insurance Sector Should Be on the Lookout for \u2018Scattered Spider\u2019 Hackers<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While neither insurer has spoken of the source or extent of its cybersecurity incident, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/national\/2025\/0\">Google Threat Intelligence<\/a> Group has said that the hacking group known as Scattered Spider appears to have switched focus from retailers to insurance companies, and is likely behind the Erie and Philadelphia events, as well as a possible data breach at insurer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/national\/2025\/06\/20\/828640.htm\">Aflac<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article-poll\" data-post=\"829484\">\n<div class=\"article-poll-vote\">\n<p>Was this article valuable?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"article-poll-feedback voted-no\">\n<form class=\"feedback-form\">\n<p>Thank you!
