Beazley<\/strong>, headquartered in London, appointed Stefan Wunderlich<\/strong> as head of parametric insurance. Reporting to Richard Montminy<\/strong>, group head of property risks, Wunderlich will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.<\/p>\n Wunderlich joins from Swiss Re, where in a two-decade career he held a number of senior positions, including building out parametric solutions for corporate clients and most recently leading teams supporting corporate clients to better manage their climate risk exposures.<\/p>\n \u201cProperty risks are ever more complex, requiring specialist solutions, effective modelling and underwriting expertise to deliver outcomes that meet the needs of business across the world,\u201d said Montminy. \u201cParametric underwriting is a highly effective response to the risk environment, often adding more immediacy, certainty and scalability than traditional methods of property underwriting.\u201d<\/p>\n Beazley specializes in a variety of lines including professional indemnity, cyber liability, property, marine, reinsurance, accident and life, and political risks and contingency business. It has tripled the size of its property underwriting since 2022, rolling out specialist property underwriting capabilities to Europe and developing selective solutions using parametric underwriting.<\/p>\n QBE Promotes Browne to UK Casualty Director<\/strong><\/p>\n QBE<\/strong> has appointed Adrian Browne<\/strong> as director of Underwriting, Casualty, for the UK, effective from Jan. 1, 2026.<\/p>\n Browne has more than two decades of experience in insurance, spanning actuarial pricing and underwriting leadership. In the last four years, he has worked as QBE\u2019s portfolio manager for UK casualty. He has held various roles at QBE for the past 22 years.<\/p>\n Based in London, Browne will report into Chris Wallace<\/strong>, executive director of UK Insurance, at QBE Europe. The appointment follows Anna Bennett\u2019s<\/strong> decision to retire at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n \u201cWith Adrian leading of one of our major portfolios, our broker partners and customers can look forward with confidence.
