Turk will assume the underwriting responsibilities of the former chief of markets role, subject to regulatory approval. She will also chair Lloyd\u2019s Capital Planning Group (CPG).<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"79\" data-revive-topics=\"excess-surplus\" data-revive-companies=\"lloyds\" data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p><strong>Caroline Sandeman-Allen<\/strong> is appointed to the executive team as chief of market oversight and will assume the oversight responsibilities of the former chief of markets role, subject to regulatory approval. This appointment reflects the increasing importance of Lloyd\u2019s principles-based oversight framework. She will also chair Lloyd\u2019s Market Oversight Group (MOG).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jonathan May<\/strong> is appointed to the executive team as CEO of Lloyd\u2019s Insurance Company (LIC), the wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyd\u2019s that facilitates Lloyd\u2019s underwriting activity in the European economic area. This appointment will strengthen governance of the Corporation and recognizes the importance of Lloyd\u2019s European business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dawn Miller <\/strong>continues in her role as chief commercial officer and CEO, Americas. In addition to her existing roles, she will assume responsibility for the corporate affairs function. She will also chair Lloyd\u2019s Business Opportunities Committee (BOC)<\/p>\n<p>The existing roles and responsibilities of <strong>Alexandra Cliff<\/strong> as chief financial officer and Lloyd\u2019s Council member, <strong>Nathan Adams<\/strong> as chief people officer, <strong>Claire Schrader <\/strong>as general counsel and <strong>David Sansom <\/strong>as chief risk officer, remain unchanged.<\/p>\n<p><strong>George Marcotte<\/strong> will continue to serve as interim chief operations officer while the corporation seeks a permanent appointment.<\/p>\n<p>The executive team will report directly to <strong>Patrick Tiernan<\/strong>, Lloyd\u2019s chief executive.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext-2\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"162\" data-revive-topics=\"excess-surplus\" data-revive-companies=\"lloyds\" data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p>Commenting on the appointments, Tiernan said, \u201cI am pleased to announce the appointments to my Executive Team. We will work at pace to deliver on the market\u2019s short-term priorities. We will also work closely with Council to develop a long-term vision for the Corporation, that will strengthen and extend Lloyd\u2019s leadership as the world\u2019s pre-eminent marketplace for risk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis group has the right mix of skills, experience and focus to ensure that we remain true to our mandate of supporting and stewarding the market to commercial success.
