The coalition is led by the U.S. Climate Alliance, a coalition of 24 governors.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bzn bzn-sized bzn-intext\">\n<ins data-revive-zoneid=\"79\" data-revive-topics=\"politics\" data-revive-companies data-revive-block=\"1\" data-revive-id=\"36eb7c2bd3daa932a43cc2a8ffbed3a9\"><\/ins> <\/div>\n<p>Other participating states include Colorado, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Washington.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate voted on Thursday to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insurancejournal.com\/news\/west\/2025\/05\/22\/824884.htm\">block California\u2019s first-in-the nation rule<\/a> banning the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035, moving to kill the aggressive effort to transition toward electric vehicles.
