The estimated recovery value is $220,000. The GMC Denalis were reported stolen through the Dallas Police Department, Houston Police Department and a law enforcement agency in Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>The GMC Denalis were sold by suspects on Facebook Marketplace for a price significantly below market value, the sheriff\u2019s office said. All victims were provided fictitious titles for the cloned vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud (CAIF)<a href=\"https:\/\/insurancefraud.org\/publications\/fraudblog-unmasking-auto-fraud-cloning-salvage-and-title-washing\/#:~:text=Cloned%20vehicles%20often%20result%20in,involvement%20with%20a%20cloned%20vehicle.\"> says that vehicle cloning<\/a> involves replicating a legitimate vehicle\u2019s VIN, which criminals use to mask stolen or illicitly obtained cars.
