Ken started his namesake advisory in 1979. He published his first book,&nbsp;<em>Super Stocks,<\/em>&nbsp;and began writing a column for Forbes five years later.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher, who relocated his firm from California to Washington state in the mid 2010s seeking a friendlier business climate, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkadvisor.com\/2023\/03\/28\/ken-fisher-boosts-wall-street-west-with-197b-texas-move\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">moved headquarters again<\/a> last year, this time to a suburb of Dallas. The move was prompted by a Washington Supreme Court ruling that the state\u2019s plan to implement a 7% capital gains tax on its wealthiest citizens was constitutional.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher announced the move with a sarcastic statement blaming the court\u2019s \u201cwisdom and knowledge of the law\u201d for the company\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ken Fisher.
