{"id":20448,"date":"2023-07-13T22:01:22","date_gmt":"2023-07-13T22:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thinkadvisor.com\/2023\/07\/13\/raymond-james-pride-network-continues-to-grow-in-third-year\/"},"modified":"2023-07-13T22:01:22","modified_gmt":"2023-07-13T22:01:22","slug":"raymond-james-pride-network-continues-to-grow-in-third-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lifeinsurance-orleans.ca\/index.php\/2023\/07\/13\/raymond-james-pride-network-continues-to-grow-in-third-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Raymond James Pride Network Continues to Grow in Third Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"media_block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/feeds.feedblitz.com\/-\/753786893\/0\/thinkadvisor\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.thinkadvisor.com\/contrib\/content\/uploads\/sites\/415\/2021\/11\/Moseley_Robbie_640x640.jpg\" class=\"media_thumbnail\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.thinkadvisor.com\/contrib\/content\/uploads\/sites\/415\/2021\/11\/Moseley_Robbie_640x640.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"the-advisor bullet-summary\">\n<h3>What You Need to Know<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Raymond James\u2019 annual Business of Pride Symposium was held June 28-30.<\/li>\n<li>The firm says that the event provides the opportunity for attendees to learn about topics important to the LGBT+ community.<\/li>\n<li>Raymond James gives advisors a lot of freedom to brand themselves, the co-chair of the Pride Network says.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"first-para\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raymondjames.com\/advisor-opportunities\/diversity-and-networks\/pride-financial-advisors-network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Raymond James Pride Financial Advisors Network<\/a> has continued to grow since it was created in June 2020, according to Robbie Moseley, vice president of AdvisorChoice Consulting and national co-chair of the Pride Inclusion Network.<\/p>\n<p>Attendance at PFAN\u2019s annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raymondjames.com\/advisor-opportunities\/diversity-and-networks\/pride-financial-advisors-network\/pride-financial-advisors-network-symposium\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business of Pride Symposium<\/a> has also grown over the past three years, he said, noting the third event was held June 28-30, at Raymond James headquarters and The Karol Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had over 200 advisors and allies join us and about 80 individuals from the home office\u201d this time, he told ThinkAdvisor in an online interview. \u201cWe\u2019ve seen that number grow from 40 to about 65 to 80 [advisors] that are registered and take part in the Symposium.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, \u201cwe are just really excited that it continues to grow as an organization,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have two pride organizations: One is our Pride Financial Advisor Network, and one is our Pride Inclusion Network, which [includes] home office and service associates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Business of Pride Symposium provides the opportunity for attendees to learn about topics that resonate with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkadvisor.com\/2021\/08\/15\/4-ways-financial-planning-is-different-for-lgbtq-people\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LGBT+ community<\/a>, according to Raymond James.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest change to the event this year was an attempt to, \u201cwith its title being Business of Pride,\u201d help advisors grow their business and their brand and make an impact in the community they wish to serve, according to Moseley.<\/p>\n<p>What makes Raymond James unique is that \u201cindependence really goes beyond any specific affiliation and so, regardless of affiliation at Raymond James \u2026 we give our advisors freedom to brand themselves in a completely different way,\u201d he said. \u201cSo if you look at the way that we\u2019re branding, even employee-side advisors, it allows them to really build this brand within the LGBT community.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What You Need to Know Raymond James\u2019 annual Business of Pride Symposium was held June 28-30.
