It\u2019s the latest investment in Cambridge real estate by the partnership, which agreed in November 2019 to invest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benefitscanada.com\/news\/psp-investing-in-u-k-real-estate-caisse-in-medical-startup-fund-indian-infrastructure-138457?preview_id=138457&amp;preview_nonce=3ccf3b879e&amp;_thumbnail_id=132705&amp;preview=true\">up to \u00a3250 million in commercial property<\/a> across the 26-acre CB1 Estate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read:<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.benefitscanada.com\/news\/psp-investing-in-u-k-real-estate-caisse-in-medical-startup-fund-indian-infrastructure-138457?preview_id=138457&amp;preview_nonce=3ccf3b879e&amp;_thumbnail_id=132705&amp;preview=true\">PSP investing in U.K. real estate; Caisse in medical startup fund, Indian infrastructure<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe continuation of our partnership with Aviva Investors in Cambridge reflects our confidence in the city\u2019s long-term performance potential as a centre of innovation,\u201d said St\u00e9phane Jalbert, managing director for Europe and Asia Pacific real estate investments at the PSP, in the release. \u201cCambridge\u2019s world-leading education and research institutions act as a hub and anchor for the artificial intelligence and life science disciplines, making the region a key knowledge cluster driving future performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other investment news, the Ontario Teachers\u2019 Pension Plan\u2019s finance trust is issuing a \u20ac750 million 10-year green bond.<\/p>\n<p>An amount equal to the net proceeds from this issuance will be allocated to assets that are environmentally and socially responsible and tackle critical issues like climate change, according to a press release. This marks the inaugural green bond issued under the&nbsp;Ontario Teachers\u2019 green bond framework.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe a transition to a net-zero economy is underway,\u201d said&nbsp;Ziad Hindo, chief investment officer at the Ontario Teachers,\u2019 in the release. \u201cThis is expected to bring a host of attractive investments to Ontario Teachers\u2019 that enable and support this transition, with the objective of earning strong risk-adjusted returns while also having a positive impact. OTFT\u2019s green bond issuance allows us to access capital to support the much-needed investments to transition towards a sustainable future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benefitscanada.com\/news\/otpp-invests-in-data-centres-wealth-management-caisse-encourages-diversity-with-new-fund-151403?preview_id=151403&amp;preview_nonce=e85f64d1b8&amp;_thumbnail_id=142101&amp;preview=true\">OTPP in private equity investments, Caisse encourages diversity with new fund<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, through its wholly-owned subsidiary CPPIB Credit Investments Inc., is committing US$98 million to a bilateral financing transaction in India.<\/p>\n<p>The transaction will support a strategic investment by JSW Projects Ltd. in iron producer BMM Ispat Ltd. and represents the first direct onshore credit exposure in&nbsp;India&nbsp;by the CPPIB, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe transaction marks a significant milestone for CPP Investments\u2019 credit investment program in&nbsp;India,\u201d said&nbsp;Raymond Chan, the organization\u2019s managing director and head of Asia Pacific credit, in the release. \u201cEmerging markets are a significant part of our long-term strategy and India is a key component of that. We see great opportunities in providing long-term, stable capital to finance&nbsp;India\u2019s&nbsp;growth cycle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And the Caisse de d\u00e9p\u00f4t et placement du Qu\u00e9bec is part of a consortium of global investors contributing to an $800-million capital raise by Inigo Ltd., a new insurance group.<\/p>\n<p>The funds will provide a capital base for Inigo to open, subject to approvals, in 2021, said a press release. The consortium also includes Enstar Group Ltd., J.C.
