The Digital Innovator of the Year was given to the organization that had best harnessed technology and digital solutions to improve their business, aid their staff, and leverage overall client experience over the past 12 months. Apollo officially launched in April of 2019, and has partnered with multiple insurance companies to digitize products, as well as over 70 brokerages to distribute those products via the Exchange.<\/p>\n
Brokers are able to log in to the Exchange, and search, apply for, and purchase insurance in a completely digital environment, enabling them to offer significantly higher service standards than outdated paper processes, which are still common in the insurance industry.<\/p>\n
Apollo\u2019s CEO Jeff McCann was also in the running for CEO of the Year, an honour that went to Lynn Oldfield, CEO of AIG Canada. This was the first year that category was introduced to the awards.<\/p>\n Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts and revealed at the black-tie awards gala, which welcomed over 600 industry professionals to the Liberty Grand in Toronto. The sold-out awards event is presented by Insurance Business Canada, the leading independent business magazine and website for insurance brokers and advice professionals in Canada.
