The bespectacled, amiable Birnbaum, known to all as \u201cBirny,\u201d responds with an uncharacteristically edgy tone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the vigor in which ACLI is presenting its views,\u201d he says calmly. \u201cUnfortunately, in this instance, it\u2019s incorrect on the points that it brings forth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A quick vote is taken on an ACLI proposal to combine two disclosure documents and it is shot down. Birnbaum\u2019s position carries the call.<br \/>It\u2019s a win for Birnbaum \u2014 a small win, but a win nonetheless.
