{"id":15135,"date":"2019-06-07T23:37:23","date_gmt":"2019-06-08T03:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insurance-journal.ca\/article\/western-financial-group-expands-further-into-ontario\/"},"modified":"2019-06-07T23:37:23","modified_gmt":"2019-06-08T03:37:23","slug":"western-financial-group-expands-further-into-ontario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lifeinsurance-orleans.ca\/index.php\/2019\/06\/07\/western-financial-group-expands-further-into-ontario\/","title":{"rendered":"Western Financial Group expands further into Ontario"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/insurance-journal.ca\/media\/photologue\/photos\/business_persons_deal.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>Alberta-based property and casualty company <strong>Western Financial Group<\/strong> has bought a third brokerage, increasing its expansion into Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>Western Financial Group recently purchased the <strong>EGM Insurance Group<\/strong> which is based in the Ottawa Valley.<\/p>\n<p>After serving clients since 1942, EGM and its subsidiaries, <strong>MC Carroll Insurance Brokers<\/strong> and <strong>Johnston &amp; Mackie Ltd.<\/strong>, will join Western&#8217;s network \u2014 one of the largest in the country.<\/p>\n<p>With this announcement, EGM Insurance Group will bring its four branches and knowledge of the&nbsp;Ontario&nbsp;market to Western, the company announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re thrilled to welcome EGM CEO&nbsp;<strong>Lisa Edmonds<\/strong>&nbsp;and her team,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>Kenny Nicholls<\/strong>, Western&#8217;s CEO and president, said. \u201cOur two companies are aligned in that we put our customers and people first.
